Question 1

What does Crimson Control do?

Accepted Answer

Crimson Control is a UK inventory and tool control company. We build ControlHub, standalone inventory control software that manages items virtually, and supply ControlVend, our secure industrial vending and storage range for controlled point-of-use access. We work with small and mid-sized engineering workshops across the United Kingdom.

Question 2

Do I have to buy consumables from Crimson Control?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no supply contract and no minimum spend. You stock your system with any brand of consumables from whichever suppliers you already use. This is what makes Crimson the independent alternative to vendor-tied supply programmes.

Question 3

What is the difference between ControlHub and ControlVend?

Accepted Answer

ControlHub is standalone inventory control software that manages your items virtually and works with cabinets, drawers and stores you already own. ControlVend is Crimson's separate range of secure industrial vending machines, lockers and drawer units for controlled physical access at the point of use. They are separate products and either can be used on its own.

Question 4

Can I lease a Crimson Control system?

Accepted Answer

ControlHub inventory control software is available from £145 per month per site. ControlVend hardware is purchased outright and priced per machine through the online configurator, so you own the equipment and are not tied to a supplier.

Question 5

Which industries does Crimson Control work with?

Accepted Answer

Crimson Control works with small and mid-sized UK engineering workshops, including precision engineering, machine shops, aerospace, automotive, defence, healthcare and MRO maintenance teams.
